RESEARCH COMPUTING
The Research Computing group provides free IT support to the UC Irvine School of Medicine research community. Support services include server acquisition consultation, system setup and administration, application install and support, and data storage.
SERVER ACQUISITION CONSULTATION
We understand each research group may have different IT needs. Therefore, we make every effort to investigate and understand the research requirement to find a viable and cost-effective solution specific to your needs.
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION
We provide Windows, OS X, and Linux system administration that include server setup, customization, updates, and monitoring.
SOFTWARE SUPPORT
We will install, upgrade, and maintain software critical to your research. End-user support is always included.
DATA STORAGE AND BACKUP
We currently have 20TB of expandable storage for research use. The data is backed up to tape and sent to Iron Mountain every month.
