Clinical Nurse Educator
Susan Magorno began her nursing career in 1996 after receiving her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. After five years in an intensive care unit (ICU) and 10 years working as a traveling nurse around the country, she came to UC Irvine Medical Center.
Margorno became a full-time staff nurse in the Burn ICU before transferring to the cardiac catheterization lab. She is a recent addition to the nursing education department and is looking forward to playing a key role in the improvement of patient outcomes and satisfaction by providing resources and guidance to the nurses that serve our patients.Susan lives with her husband Tony, two miles from Disneyland, where they were married in 2010.
