31st Annual Review Course in
Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology
Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel, Costa Mesa, California
October 20-24, 2008
This five-day course is designed to familiarize the practicing obstetrician and gynecologist with a review of the principles of diagnosis and management unique to this specialty. The course registration fee includes a syllabus, refreshments and a CME certificate. Practicing obstetricians and gynecologists should plan to attend. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate aspects of endocrinology and fertility such as precocious or delayed puberty, amenorrhea, endometriosis, and use of oral contraceptives.
- Identify common topics in clinical gynecology including pelvic pain, hormone replacement therapy and heart disease in women.
- Decrease complications from pre-term labor, hypertension, diabetes and other related obstetric complications to improve patient care.
- Identify and evaluate key management issues in gynecological cancer to improve patient outcomes.
- Evaluate and identify treatment for common topics in Urogynecology, including stress incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and the overactive bladder.
- Identify cultural data that may impact the diagnosis and treatment of obstetrical and gynecological health issues
There will be an optional "Case Reviews and Test Taking Skills" scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings after the lectures for those interested. The space for these sessions is very limited. If you would like to attend, please send in your registration form indicating which day you would prefer. NOTE: There will be no CME hours offered for this optional potion of the course.
