In order to maximize the value of the vast collective
experience in clinical research present within the SOM faculty, the Office of
Clinical Research and Trials is launching its Mentorship Program.
Through the program, junior investigators or investigators that are
new to clinical research are matched with experienced clinical investigators
from among our own faculty. Each
participant will take part in at least 4 contacts with their partner over
the course of 1 year. These
could be phone calls, email exchanges, or in-person meetings.
Topics of interest may include:
how to find funding, how to establish productive collaborations
across disciplines, how to work with industry to secure funding for investigator-initiated
studies, requesting review and comments on a grant proposal or clinical
protocol, or talking through a new idea to flesh out its feasibility.
The possibilities are limitless!
Seeking a Mentor? Just
complete/submit a Mentor Request Form (Word
or
pdf)...it's that easy! See listing and brief description
of scientific interests below.
